My time here is coming to an end. I wish I had kept a better account of my days, but, cest la vie.

Here are just a few things I have learned, in no particular order…

1. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Eagles and other rock legends are not exclusive to western civilization.

2. My fear of growing old has been lessened after getting to know numerous “mature” individuals who seem to have younger, more hopeful and enthusiastic souls than those of some of my peers.

3. The beauty of this country cannot be explained it can only be experienced.

4. The tragedy and conflict of this country cannot be explained it can only be experienced.

5. The ends do not justify its means. The commodities and luxuries that this country offers are not worth the improportionate class structure which it requires.

6. Death will never be easy. No matter how young or old the person, how fast or slow the death, or whether it happened last week or 20 years ago.

7. People will never cease to amaze me, positively and negatively.

8. People’s past will surprise you, and even make you really proud to be related to them.
